Does anyone take citalopram and omeprazole?

Morning!

I was prescribed 10mg of citalopram last night for anxiety, I'm on repeat for omeprazole and I've just read my citalopram leaflet and it says to be careful if you take both, something to do with digesting it I think and the citalopram going into your blood quicker!

Does anyone else take both?

I'm not sure whether to phone the docs as he didn't ask if I was taking any other medication

I take both and have not had a problem, though I did worry to start with. I was also on 10mg citalopram at the time (just gone up to 20mg) and had no prob.
Glad you called and asked though, always better to be safe.

I take 40mg omeprazole and 40mg of citalopram, so both a high dose, and I've had no problem. I was advised to take one in the morning and the other in the evening so that might be worth trying for anyone else on both if they do have problems
