I have a 2 yr history of pain and over 6 months of anti depressants.

tomorrow I see the GP again. I can't bring myself to tell gp how I really feel, where it hurts, what new symptoms I have cos I feel like I'm wasting their time. how can I tell them?

Hi - why not tell your Gp that you are still struggling with pain, where the physical pain is and how it is affecting you. Perhaps ask for a referral to specialist to see if they can identify what is causing the pain, or at least some blood tests to see if anything shows up?

If you go with a specific problem and ask for treatment for it you should get something - or the start of something. If the pain is causing the depression then stopping the pain sounds a good idea.

many who feel they cant speak it - write every thing down and give it to the gp.

i did recently, i asked the receptionist to hand it to her before i go in. as i didnt want to sit there whilst she read the 2 page list of problems / symptoms!

hope that helps

so I wrote my long list and she just said she didn't have time for them all. made me feel like more of a waste of their time.
