Has anybody got both Bipolar and an Alchohol problem/intolerance

As the title suggests really.

My cpn thinks mine are two separate issues, however I really think they are related. I also suffer from Bulimia which I think is connected too, it comes and goes and is mood dependant.

Just would like to hear from other people with a similar problem.

Hi, i've been diagnosed bipolar for 15 years.
Before (and since) diagnosis i smoked alot of weed. This messed with my head and i stopped overnight.
Booze is something i need everyday. I mostly drink beer, around 6 pints every evening.
It's a huge problem, i know that, but i need that feeling of being out of it.
I've had meds to try and stop my drinking but they make me feel sick 24/7.
Manic depression is an illness that has it's fair share of addicts.
You need willpower to stop drinking and i'm not sure i've got that.
Don't know your situation but if you think you've got an addiction problem then talk to your psychiatrist. xxx
