I've never spoken to anyone about my problem before, family and exp know about it, but just shout or hit my hands away.
I reasently went away on holiday, and was very happy to see in the photos, you couldn't tell, but for some reason, this has triggered me into doing it more. So angry at myself, I have made a noticeable patch.

Take up knitting, you need something else to do with your hands. Believe me I know what its like. I picked at a spot on my head for over 4 years. The hair is now starting to grow back, but it looks bad and is all frizzy on top and i have a permanent bald spot. Please try and stop before you look as bad as me.

I would have to knit all day, I do it without even realising what I'm doing sometimes. I pick too, but only my head. Odd isn't it, what is it about my head that I can't leave it alone. Worked out I have been doing it for 20 years now, the doctors just say sit on your hands!

Me too - although not from my head. I pull out my eyebrows and eyelashes. Sometimes i can go for ages without doing it, other times it seems constant. I seem to be able to stop for a while, but not found a permsnent solution.
