What mg diazepam do you have? I found 2mg was enough to take edge off. Warm bath? Brisk walk anything? Its a blip not a backstep am on phone no battery have read through village thread

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 02/07/2013 17:04

I have blood pumping at high speed through my system, I can feel it pulsing in every corner of my body.
the thing is tonight there is very little I can do to start ticking things off the list.
I have to feed the children
I have to pick up some snacks
I have to drop round bags and jars to a friends house
I have to remember to take Pizza's to another friends house

if anyone is nice to me in rl I am going to cry.

... actually.. thanks.. because I have written this i think the answer is to take them. BRB

LEMisdisappointed · 02/07/2013 17:08

All that really needs done on that list is to feed yhe kids everything else can wait you have ages now take a pill make a cuppa and relax

ColouringInQueen · 02/07/2013 17:13

Hi never I echo snowy and lem - take 2 mg, get kids tea - and something for you and then see how you feel. Any breathing exercises/music that might help too? Take care.

DiaryOfAWimpyMum · 02/07/2013 17:26

I agree, only do what is necessary

Hi Never - I missed this thread earlier but I'm glad you are feeling a bit better, I hate that feeling!

And it is also heartening to know that people can manage to just take occasional diazepam as I am trying to stop taking it regularly.

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 02/07/2013 19:04

thanks all.

Now am going to try to get on with the rest of today's jobs.

boys - fed
bathed - 1/2
bed - 0/2
stuff to take to friend
buy snacks
take pizza to other friend

will do list for tomorrow in the middle of the night when I can't sleep!!

Try see your GP to get that sleep sorted, I have ptsd and am bipolar and found/find that when I have a full nights sleep without nightmares I feel like a different person the next day.

Try write your list before bed then a hot bath and maybe reading in bed when you get dc to bed?

Try do something nice for yourself every day and something relaxing every evening. I don't know how you feel about Mitrazipine for sleeping in the long term?

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 03/07/2013 00:31

ah sleeping is an issue and I agree, things are always so much better when I have had a good sleep.
I have started listening to audio stories as I am trying to get off as it gives my brain something to focus on that isn't the general noise that is always too loud to let me sleep.
I have taken 3 sleeping tablets from the doctors in my life and they scared me. I slept SO well, I really worry that I would never want to ever even try to sleep without them.
We have made some progress though, DH has agreed to sleep in the spare room for a bit so I am not having the extra worry of keeping him awake as well.

Thanks all for your support tonight I appreciate it.
