No where else to turn

I don't know how to word this so apologies if I make no sense

I feel so lonely and that everyone hates me because I'm depressed and suicidal

I constantly feel like I'm not normal and some alien

I feel like im constantly reaching for stuff to overdose on or ways to hurt myself which I enjoy doing.

Feel like no one understands me

Hi op can you find a more sympathetic gp? At the very least you should of been offered AD's and to see the gp again soon.

I think you need to see a different GP at your practice, on monday morning.

SaveWaterDrinkMalibu · 23/06/2013 11:43

Chances of getting an appointment for Monday is very little.

If you cant manage till Tuesday, and you feel as bad, I think I am right in saying that a&e will be able to help you.

LEMisdisappointed · 23/06/2013 12:03

Call them first thing tomorrow morning, tell them its an emergency - make sure you call at 8am and stay on hold. Tell them that if you cannot see a doctor in the surgery you will have to go to A&E as this cannot wait - i promise you, they will see you!

How long have you been on the ADs? What are they? your doctor does sound a bit rubbish actually, he/she should have explained that you may well feel worse when you first start on ADs, i assume you have something like citalopram or fluoxitine. They can make you feel really anxious in the first few weeks, its horrible, but do stick with them. Knowing that the medication is making you feel worse makes it easier to cope with somehow - just have a look at the many threads about ADs on here, you will see that over and over. You also neeed some form of talking therapy.

Would it help to tell us what it is that has made you feel like this?

People don't hate you, sometimes people struggle because they don't understand, but they don't hate you - it is also your perception being skewed because you are not well just now. It will get better x

Hang on in there op, when I arrived at gp last year so so desperate to end it all, I was offered ADs the CPN, sicknote off of work and counselling, so the facility is there to support you, I thank my lucky stars I found a good gp, don't be fobbed off, can you take anyone else for moral support ?? Thinking of you Thanks
