Does Citralopram become less effective?

I can feel the creeping funk. I'm on them for anxiety, but I know depression is coming back. Feel shit - don't want to do anything, just sleep, so fed up, overwhelmed, etc, etc. Hate being like this. I'm on 20mg and have been for about eight months. Off work and going to see GP today.

Hi Kinky

I hope your doctor was helpful and that you are feeling better.. I came here to start a similar thread actually, as I've been on Citalopram for nearly 2 years and am on 40mg per day (which is the max dose now I think) and it feels as if it's stopped working. I am more anxious, teary and tired all the time. I will make an appointment with my GP, have just been waiting for it to go away.

I've been put up to 30mg but, interestingly, I have some inflammation symptoms that I wasn't aware of. Apparently, inflammation in the body can be linked to extreme tiredness and low mood. I'm starting to wonder if something else is going on. I don't deny I have depression, but going to be tested to see if something else is going on.

Good luck with your GP Binker. It's just shit feeling like this. Thanks

If you feel the creeping go to GP ASAP.
