I have been prescribed this today, starting on 1mg in the morning and 1mg in the evening and then moving on to 2mg in the morning and 2mg in the evening. Psychiatrist said it will help with my thinking.

Any experience? Thanks.

I don't have personal experience but I have prescribed it!

It should be less sedating than quetiapine (I've had a bit of a lurk on your other thread so know you've had that before), less likely to cause weight gain and its a quicker dose titration so quicker and easier to get to an effective dose.

On the downside it can cause muscle stiffness and shakes. Nonetheless I often think that I might choose it for myself if I needed an antipsychotic.

I have had it with no negative side effects thankfully. I stayed on lowish dose. Helped quite quickly. Hope it works for you .

No experience myself, but best friend is on it and it works great for her with minimal side effects.

Just started taking 0.5mg every night before bed, feeling oddish this morning, dizzy, spaced out, getting out of breath easily and body aches......also felt like tongue and throat was swollen (they arent as I have had a look in mirror)....spoke to dr just now and he isnt worried and said to continue taking the meds for a week and see how we get on.....could also be because I am paranoid and thinking about side effects which isnt helping, dr said to ignore and carry on :)
