Im struggling with life and think a counsellor may be able to help me but I don't know how to find a reputable one. I live in the North West, can anyone advise how to find someone.

I contacted my local MIND branch and they helped me find one.
Also, if you work you could check whether your employer has a "lifestyle" scheme which gives you access to counsellors.
Have you been to your gp? Some surgeries have a counsellor or can refer. If the waiting lists are too long you may be able to see the same counsellor the surgery uses but privately (if they work privately too).
Children's Centre (if you have child/ren under 5).

These are all routes I've used to get counselling over the years.

Personal recommendations too if you know anyone who has had counselling in the past. I hope you are able to find one you are comfortable with. Good luck.

If going private you could look up counsellor soon a site such as BACP which gives details and all it's members adhere to the code of ethics etc.
