Really cross & annoyed with myself

Have started to see the light at the end of the tunnel recently, but feeling really low this evening.

We had a great long list of things to do this weekend (longer than we could ever hope to achieve) & all I can focus on is what's left to do, the jobs that have been done barely get space in my head.

Well done on getting some of your list accomplished .Try to relax this evening .Tomorrow is another day and who knows what you can achieve.

I'm not sure whether this is helpful but I mean it to be.

When I get a bit overwhelmed by all the stuff that needs doing in the house, I think to myself, on my death bed, I won't regret having not kept a tidy house, I will, however, regret not prioritising time with my boys when they were little.

It helps puts the 'to do' list into perspective.

Well done on getting through what you have so far.

I don't know if this will help you but I tend to do a list review where I strike I couple of things off. Dunno why but it helps me.

Plus, one down day does not a spiral back down make. That light is still there

I get a bit like this about household tasks, my heart sinks when I see the mess the DC have made everywhere, then I try to put a positive spin on it and say that the DC enjoyed playing with those toys, so it doesn't seem so bad.

Maybe try making a small list of tasks that can be accomplished in 5 / 10 or 15 minutes. So break down cleaning the bathroom into tasks that can be ticked off:
1 bleach down toilet - tick
2 sink cleaner around sink - tick
3 replace towels - tick
4 scrub toilet - tick
5 scrub sink - tick
6 put all toiletries in a bucket - tick
7 wipe all surfaces - tick
8 put all toiletries back on shelves etc - tick

Make sure you reward yourself with a cup of tea etc when completed. Make a point of saying well done to yourself too.

I hope you feel more positive this weekend.
