Friend refusing to get out of bed

I called round when texts had been ignored all weekend and she didn't turn up at school this morning.
Her kids were all waiting to go to school but mum was refusing to get up. I went to see her and she said she just didn't want to anymore.
I've taken her kids in and rang a doctor, but now i have left her, what else can i do to help?

Your poor friend FF, she must be in a bad way. And give yourself a great big pat on the back for being a good friend and helping out.

Will she talk to you at all?

You have been brilliant ff. If only everyone had a friend like you. Are you picking the children up this pm too?

You are a brilliant friend and you did exactly the right thing. Is this the first time she's done this? I would wait and see what happens after you made contact with a doctor. What you can do next depends on whether she gets the help she needs and whether that is on a voluntary basis or whether she has to be made to get help. It also depends on your own situation - what sort of support could you offer - emotional or practical or both? I used to be a volunteer for Saneline years ago -they are a mental health helpline for people with problems but not just that they are there for people like you to call for support as well. Long time since I worked for them but I expect the number is out there on the internet somewhere.

She wasn't depressed, she was out of her mind with a high temperature, really ill.

She will be fine in a couple of days.

I'm knackered though i have had my tubes tied psychologically, 7 bloody kids.
