I am sometimes getting strange episodes that last from couple hours to some days. Everything and everybody feel stange. I get very strange obsession during this period. For example, this morning I woke up and felt that my DC is dead even though she was playing with her toys. When she was very young baby, I used to take her next to me and let her fall asleep there. When she slept I transfered her to her cot. Once though, I fell asleep and when I woke up she was covered with our duvet and some pillows. She was fine but I was schocked. Today I was convinced she had died then and wanted ot go to GP to get her checked, if she had died. This state lasted some hours and afterwards I was thinking straight again.

I am just wondering if this could neurolocigal as the episodes are pretty similar. The themes change but I always feel odd and detached during them.

It's worth going to see your GP and telling them about what's happening for you, neurological and psychological have links.

I'm fairly sure this is psychiatric (I've both psych and neuro problems) but potentially more delusional (on the schizoid spectrum - and yes ive been there I've had psychotic depression).

The GP isn't enough here (and my dh is a GP!). If there's psychosis, even temporarily (and your altered perception of reality sounds like that) you need a very urgent psychiatric referral to your community mental health team. Your level of insight (you know it's unnatural) is encoouraging but please, please get help for you and your dc sake!
