I can't cry!

No matter how stressed I get looking after my little angel, I just can't seem to let it out. It just feels like a tight little ball in my stomach. Is this normal or is there something wrong with me?

I am not sure.
Do you want to cry?

Kisathecat · 13/01/2013 21:28

Yes! But it just doesn't come. Without the release that comes with a good cry I feel like its all building up and I find it really hard to control my anger. I hate shouting at my son and want to be calmer.

I feel a bit out of my depth here, so hoping someone else will join the thread soon too.
Have you never cried?
Do you cry over anything, eg films?

You have posted on Mental Health. do you think there are mental health issues for it?

Yeah I can cry at films and when anything major happens (not often thank God) its just stress seems to cut me off from my emotions and so builds up. I don't know how to release the tension. My friend suggested getting in the car and driving down the motorway and having a good scream but it all felt a bit self indulgent to be honest, it didn't really work and gave me a sore throat.
Appreciate your response by the way, very kind of you.

Sounds like you need to get the stress out, before you can cry?
Might punching a pillow or a punch bag help?
