Anxiety, google, mirena inserted today = panicking

I am on setraline for anxiety. It has peaked recently due to a work issue I am more anxious than ever and it has impacted my life hugely.

I suffer with heavy periods and me and partner have no long term contraception in place. GP suggested mirena coil. I just read the leaflet and it says 'anxiety' can be a side effect! Now I'm worrying im goin to get worse as i had it inserted today. My GP really sold it to me she is aware of my anxiety obvioulsy. I stupidly just read 2 hours worth of reviews (I promised I wouldn't do that) about how awful it is!!!

Anyone already have anxiety related issues and mirena hasn't made them worse?

I think the only way to find out is to try it. I had one in for a while and can't remember noticing any change in mood. They are pretty easy to remove if you decide to get rid of it.

I only ever had anxiety while I had it. Sadly, even after having it removed, I still get some mild anxiety!
