Depends. Look at Kellymom (google). First choice is Prozac, which is used successfully.

Depends on which AD you're on I think. Best to ask your GP.

I stopped taking ADs when I was pg and then breastfeeding.

I'm going to my doctor tomorrow think i'm likely to be offered ADs but am still bf dd aged 15m

I used AD's whilst breastfeeding with DC's 2 and 3....seroxat first time (from 6 months) and sertraline the second (from the day I gave birth, as a prophylactic measure). GP and specialist consultant said that they were fine as the amount that gets into your breastmilk is minimal...and it's best for baby to have a happy mum in terms of brain development. The older type (tricyclics) are not compatible. Plus the amount of milk your baby must be having now is minimal? My DC's are now 4 and 2 and are both bright, happy and show no signs of being damaged by my AD's at all Smile
