Clitopram and panic attacks

Hi all I have recently been diagnosed with depression along with chronic stress and exhaustion. I am on day 4 of cliatopram (sp?) and for the past 48 hours have had several panic attacks of varying intensity. I have had this before but with nowhere near this regularity. Has anyone else experienced this? The doctor told me to expect an initial increase in anxiety but this seems extreme?

i had horrible side effects to citalopram for the first month, but once it settled in it was amazing and for me much better than fluxosomething or prozac or sertraline... stick it out for a bit longer and try and stay out of your 'trigger' situations for panic attacks, if it doesnt sort its self out in a few weeks then go back, unfortunalty docs wont do anything until then!

Thanks it's just so scary to feel out of control of your body like that. I know it's situational much of it but I wasn't expecting such a physical backlash with it. Will try to just avoid triggers for the moment but it's so hard when so many of them are in my own head
