Feeling odd

I have anxiety and depression. Currently off for a couple of days as have hit a bit of a low and having citalopram increased to try and lift my mood. Does anyone else feel like they are just watching themselves do life? A bit like being a character in their own lives just not really living it? Or is it just me?

Has it come on quickly? It might be a side effect of increasing the meds. Do call you gp if you feel weird.

Well I see my life as a bit like Snakes and Ladders. I have not fully recovered from a major episode 2 years ago. I can be fine for weeks and then wham! I wake up feeling shite, and then I feel that a stranger is inhabiting my body as I am devoid of any emotion - just flat,empty nothingness. I have no warning or triggers (as far as I know anyway) The brain is one complicated organ and when it goes wrong, god help us. The medics don't really understand brain disorder. Sorry you are suffering - it's crap - total crap.

Hope the increased meds will help.

How long have you felt like this Cleo? Is it a side effect? Or did you have it before..? I have felt like this through long periods of my life. It's as if I was trying to distance myself from reality. Like being in a film.
