I'm sorry I don't know what I'm looking for.... Some answers... My father who is bi-polar had a big meltdown today. And physically and verbally attacked 3 of his children (me and my sisters)

I cant understand, process or deal with this.

My relationship with my dad is over although it was never that great. I am so gutted and shocked.

I'm sorry I don't know what anyone can do to make me feel better. Has anyone had anything similar?

Oh god that sounds so vague and 'drip feeding' he shouted and swore and just spouted rubbish. He punched my partner and my sisters partner.
He doesn't care if he sees us again.

He lives 4 hours away and was down here staying for a visit. The last time was 2 years ago.

Have you spoken with anyone in real life about this? I would really recommend calling the Samaritans, or (during the week) Mind to get some support. Your teenage sisters might be young enough for Childline.

I think there's a thread a page or two back that's support for partners... it's not quite the same but people there might have lived through similar situations.

To be honest I've not considered the Samaritans. I feel like I need counselling right now to get my head round he's destructive behaviour , thankyou for your reply x
