Im currently 3 weeks into a meciation change for anxiety. The doctor gave me 1mg of lorazapam to help with the change over.

Because my mornings are so bad Ive been taking 0.5mg just to get me through the 1st few hrs but Im scared stiff of becoming addicted to them.

Has anyone got any experience with benzos?

Lorazapam is also stronger than diazipam and 0.5mg is about the same as 5mg diazipam

I enjoy my diazapam possibly a little too much Blush because of this, I am constantly googling it, and issues surrounding it. In context, I've had 8 5mg pills over the course of 2 months, on an as and when basis. What basis were you told to take your Lorazapam? Why are you worried about addition, is it your anxiety talking or is this something the "old" you would have been scared of, too?

i think im scared of addiction of any sort (dont smoke, drink, never done drugs et) god im boring
whenever I google (symptom of my anxiety) I see all these benzo horror stories.
The reason I am changing my meds is because of the horrible w/d I was suffering from paroxetine. I just dont want to have to go through w/d from benzos too.

im on lorazapam as and when (up to 1mg per day) but I have never taken more than 0.5mg in a day. Whenever I have had to take it (about 8 times in the past 2 weeks) I feel like such as failure, This again is prob my non-rational anxiety talking

My DH is taking 3 mg of Rivetral (clonazepam) daily at the moment for agitation and and a mixed manic state. It's just a temporary measure to bring him down to a more stable state. (He's on other drugs too).

It seems to be helping.
