Hi all,

My sister is a health visitor and she told me about a conference (advertised on her health visiters website), which i think will be a really interesting day. It is also advertised on netmums and there is no reason why mumsnet members shouldn't have the same opportunites. Click on to view programme - www.msfcphva.org/events/PNDalert.doc

Really think it will be worth attending for anyone interested in post natal depression. How many of you suffered from this and received little or no help?

I know i suffered and the support i received was amazing (but thats because my sister is a health visiter, and is clued up on PND, i on the other hand had no idea what it was till i got it, i thought i was a rubbish mum!)

Think it's time we educated ourselves and not just rely on the health system (which is not always that great) to help us!

Hope to see some mumsnet members there. I think it costs £25 but i am going to try and negotiate a better rate for mumsnet. You ladies shld do the same if you call up.
xx
