Peter had been out of hospital 2 days and we were preparing for dd3 arrivial. he had been assessed for transplant.

dd3 arrived in the evening, so small and perfect. she is still perfect.

So on her 1st birthday she will be having her party in a hospital room. no wonder i feel so low.

Sorry misdee

Thinking of you all

misdee · 21/02/2006 12:07

i shouldnt moan, not after what bubble and her family went through. i should be grateful peter is alive, and i am glad he is. but we can never get this time back.

I don't think you're moaning I think you do ever so well to be as resilient, you have to let out your feelings some of the time..

Marina · 21/02/2006 12:13

Agree zippi. Misdee, I think you are fully entitled to look back over this year and feel a lot of regret over what Peter has missed out on. You are so strong for all your family, it never ceases to amaze me, frankly
Hope dd3, the little dote, has a lovely birthday. She won't mind where it is celebrated

leogaela · 21/02/2006 14:28

Misdee - a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to dd3 !
The situation you are in at the moment is very, very sad, I am so sorry that Peter hasn't been able to be involved much in dd3's first year and you haven't been able to be a complete family with him in hospital for so much of the time.

Enjoy dd3's birthday, it doesn't matter where you celebrate, just enjoy being proud parents together.

And - I think you are amazing !

oh honey you have every right to feel low. Being a parent is hard but doing it on your own with a very poorly dh must be so much harder. Just glad you can all be together at some point today. Just think how many times you would have to say Happy Birthday to her if you repeated everyone's off here. She is adorable and you are a wonderful mummy.
