so did you have pnd with your first daughter? have you felt well since then?

spacedonkey · 11/02/2006 17:23

Are you on any medication for the depression? Have you found the psychiatrist helpful at all?

I know it's not much help at the moment, but it will get better. It can take a long time though sadly

jaimeesmummy · 11/02/2006 17:25

yes beetroot i had pnd with jaimee i started to feel great, but then now all of sudden i feel awful. psych put me on antidepressents but they just make me feel worse. and i feel so awful because i just am not coping. i feel like i am pushing everyone away. i just cant deal with my daughter at the moment i feel like yelling and i'd rather just distance myself, from her and other half

spacedonkey · 11/02/2006 17:31

I think it's safe to say your medication isn't working effectively, and may need to be changed. Definitely go and see your doctor to get some help for this JM!

Is your family/dh/dp supportive?

jaimeesmummy · 11/02/2006 17:34

i know, i think i'll phone him on monday to sort out an apointment, might see if he can come and see me at home. i really dont see what anyone can do though if tablets arent even working then what else is there?

OP posts:
spacedonkey · 11/02/2006 17:35

There are lots of different anti-depressants - my GP told me that it is a case of trial and error to find the right one. But on top of any medication, you need support of friends and family - are you getting that?

jaimeesmummy · 11/02/2006 17:37
