Self help?

Hi, I name changed ages ago but I'm only just brave enough to write now. I've come to the slow realisation that I am responsible for alot of what is wrong in my life with how I react to people etc. The first ever thread I started was in AIBU ( I know!) and I was slated for being a doormat. I've not been very happy in my relationship but we do have our good times. We don't communicate very well and I think now that I really don't like myself very much, and this is where most of my problems stem from.
Are there any decent self help books about that you would recommend for improving self esteem and allowing me to like myself more? I've started to stand up for myself IRL a little more which has had some good results but feel like I'm faking if you know what I mean and that I'm about to be found out! Any advice please? Thank you

No book suggestions, but the faking/waiting to be found out feeling is pretty normal - it eases with time the more you practice. :)
