Think it could be as long as you would expect original ones to take - i.e. 2 to 6 weeks. Fingers crossed it's a bit quicker for you.

Nemo1977 · 08/02/2006 10:19

you should feel effects within 4wks. IF not it may be that citalopram is not for you and you need something else.
I went through about 4 different ADS before they found one that worked. Also the one that did work now doesnt seem to be having the same effect!!

hi biglips...so your gp increased them. At least they are trying to help you. I hope you start going on the up soon.

I am feeling ok although been ill for the last week. PND is still getting me down sadly.

The tablets are driving me mad..over the last 4 weeks I have been having mad, crazy, weird dreams and they are every night sometimes 2-3 dreams a night..!!!! Wish my brain was as active during the day...

Hope you are ok today. xx

If you really don't think they're working for you, ask whether you can be prescribed a different ad. You should be seeing some improvement by now, even if only a slight one. Not all ads work for all people, if this one isn't right for you they can try others until they find one that is.

SHHHH · 12/03/2006 16:08

big lips sorry to hearing things are not improving for you.. I know you are on the same ad's as me but a higher does. Like wwb says, I would insist the gp's try you with something different...it's been months now..Sad.

How did you get on at the gp's..????
