I would really appreciate posts from anyone who is on sertraline and has found it has affected their periods. I have been on 100mg of sertraline for about a year. At first my periods were the same as usual but over time they have become much, much lighter. They are now starting to come less frequently and sometimes they start and then stop and then start again.
I am very happy with the two beautiful children I have already so there are no issues over fertility and getting pregnant. My only concern is that I have previously been investigated for premature menopause. My hormone levels have been normal at each testing but I suffer from nightsweats (which I had prior to going on the ADs). Obviously the changes in my period could be down to premature menopause (I am 34). I am fairly convinced it is due to the sertraline but would really like to hear from you if you have had similar experiences.
