That's DH's latest had extremely useful but heavy therapy session yesterday at rape crisis centre usually takes a couple of days to process fully and recover. Was very down and upset this morning he says its like riding a bike you just get back on if you fall off already told him counseller has told me it is really early days and will take months yet.She says I am doing really well though but not using my friends enough. Really want to run away half the time but hardly go over the door.

Poor you, you sound like you are doing really well to be honest, but he seems very unsympathetic, it will take time and time is the greatest healer of them all. I am sorry you are going through this. Didnt really know what to write buit wanted you to know that someone is here if you need to talk or cry or anything really. x

Your dh is being unhelpful to you, but probably for no other reason than that he feels helpless and unable to fix you. It may help to say 'You can't fix me and you don't need to, just give me a hug when I need one'.

He came in for his dinner and I refused to speak to him he just keeps blowing hot and cold I can't deal with that. The other day he was doing things to help me, he came out with another analogy tonight climbing a ladder ----one step at a time don't know what to think anymore so mixed up. Shouldn't be, I'm not a child but a grown woman bloody ridiculous.

Don't let their comments make you feel guilty - you are not choosing to feel this way and you cannot help it. You are doing what you can. If it helps show them this message from me that I've been through largely the same thing except was lucky that it wasn't family. That I too have for a while felt completely overwhelmed, in pain, unable to cope. That it does get better in its own time which is not as fast as you and/or others would like and that TLC and unstinting support is what pulls you through in the end.

DD1 means it in a nice way she doesn't say anything as she doesn't want to say the wrong thing. We used to go out for lunch every fortnight but I can't manage that nowadays. She comes over and we sit and have a cuppa and a chat about mundane stuff.
