Right so the short of it is dp has been having major probs at work since sept. With the advice of cab and acas he has gathered eveidence for unfair / constructive dismissal. He went through his grivance procedure and of course they decided it had failed and had no explanation for witholding monies (around 2k) which he is still due.

He handed in 4 weeks notice as told, but then they turned around and said he was only entitled to 1 weeks notice and they were paying him in lieu of it.

As he has a company vehcle his notice ends Tuesday night and they want to collect the car (bit of a bugger as we live middle of nowhere and sold our car last year as didnt need two). He pays unlimited fuel and mileage through tax, tlhout they took away his fuelcard last week. And now we have no funds to buy a car.

Our oil tank for heating has leaked and we are surviving on wages from my xmas temp job at argos which ends this Wek (80.00) per weeks. We are 3 months behind on the rent and i have been offered two fantastic jobs but cannot bloody get there.

Thing is now his employers will not let him know when they are paying him his final cheque (weeks notice holidays and christams period days)...they just blank him and ask a convenient time to collect the car.

I know if i am in when they come around i will go crazy..they have put us through sheer hell this year and i canot see through this red mist.

Sorry but i had to blurt it all out! I am so frigging upset....i have a two year old to support (just turend two) and no one gives a monkeys whizz. WHy has my life come to this? I am trying to be positive and all it will take is the money he is owed to get me a car so i can get some inceome.

Again sorry! I bet people have such worse problems....but it's a vicous circlei can see no way out of...

Shiraz, sounds like you're having a horrible time, you have every right to be mad. Can you claim any benefits at all? Sounds like your dp has a great case for constructive dismissal too. Has he looked into going to an employment tribunal? I'm having huge problems at work too (there's a thread lurking around somewhere) and I've found the CAB enormously helpful. They should be able to work out any benefits your entitled too and they can help negotiate payment of rent owed by agreeing a plan with your landlord for you.

HTH xx

((Hugs))
