Forgetting someone's name... would this worry you?

I work in a small(ish) team of about 25 staff. In the staff meeting today, a colleague who I have worked with for a year and know asked me to write her name down for something. I was looking at her and for about 10 seconds could not remember her name!! It scared the crap out of me that I couldn't remember. This has happened to me a few times over the past month ( not names of people but just stuff).

The past few months have been incredibly upsetting and stressful for me for various reasons and I wonder if this could be a symptom of stress? It has only happened to me in the past month and am hoping it will settle down soon when I can grieve and de-stress from everything.

Please reassure me/ tell me to get a grip as I am worrying about all sorts which I am sure is doing nothing for my stress levels!!

This happens to me too. And yes stress, anxiety and depression can all impair your memory (as can certain meds). Try not to worry about it and it should settle down when you're not under so much stress.
