36 Weeks PG and do nothing but cry - normal?

Am 36 weeks pg and for the last 2 weeks I seem to have done nothing except sob especially where DS1 is concerned. He is 3 and while he understands that the baby will come sometime after Santa, he really seems to be pushing me to my limits regards not doing as I ask (things which he can do standing on his head) or speaking back. Is it normal - his behaviour and/or my reaction? Am generally feeling low anyhow as I feel very alone as I know nobody in a similar position. I don't feel as if I'm in a position to say anything as I'll probably get told to get my act in gear. Any support and advice re DS's behaviour would be much appreciated.

Sorry Fonzie, I can offer no advice on your DS as Dd is my first child but wanted to bump this up for you anyway. If it is any consolation at all I wept buckets around the 36 week mark. Think it had all got too much for me at that stage, hate to think how very much harder it must be to do it with a 3 year old testing the boundaries. Hope someone who knows more about this will be along soon. x

There is a thread on-going for very emotional pre-natal ladies, I'll bump it for you if you are interested just so you know you are not alone - and completely normal!!

Thanks Dingdong. I didn't experience anything like this with DS. Also, added to that DS was a complete surprise whereas this one took a while to get. I'm concerned in a way that I'll love this one more than DS because of that. Totally irrational I know but I'm pregnant so I suppose I'm allowed some lee-way!

Have bumped - it's under an ante-natal thread at the top of 'last hour'.
