Am having a really nightmarish time. Had taken Seroxat for 10 years for neuropahic pain and anxiety, but hated side effects so weaned myself of them over the course of the year and was finally off it by August this year. Then in october I had a health scare and had a dermoid cyst removed under general anesthetic. The anxiety that caused me was immense and shortly after the op (which went well) I became super anxious and depressed. Literally felt I was crawling the walls didn't no where to put myself, waking early in the morning with waves of panic washing over me. Was terribly frightened of going nuts and not be able to take care of my child. Got to see a psychologist, who put me on short term Zyprexa 5 mg and long term Sertraline 100 mg. Also doing CB therapy. It helped initially but now a month and a half in I am feeling bad again, not as bad but pretty awful. Any one changed drugs because the initial one they were taking didn't work? I am interested in Lexapro the newest SSRI, any one taking that?
