Does anyone have any experience of it? My partner has been referred for some and i just wondered what to expect really.

Your partner is ery lucky to have got a referraal! Mine took 8 months but it si really helping.

I'd say be supportie but dont expect him to talk too much about it - it's hard going and you need a break!

Thanks. He's in the forces so its been quite quick and efficient luckily.

Should i ask him if he wants to talk about it? (he finds it hard to initiate conversations about anything beyond chit chat) or just leave it until he does initiate?

MsZ you sound lovely and supportive. I would just say to him that you are open to talking about it on his terms, at any time. Then leave it to him. DH and I have both had therapy (DH still has) and we always ask if it was a good meeting and then leave it to the other how much is said. Sometimes 'yes' is all you get, sometimes more, sometimes not until several days later.
