I feel really low on Saturday nights

I feel okay the rest of the week. Saturday nights when I go to bed is when thoughts come that I am a failure. I think it relates to the feeling that I should be socialising with famiy and friends, but we don't do that as much as I'd like. Does anyone else feel this way? I wish I could just be content.

I get the same, but as I work shifts I have to sit on it hard. There is a huge social expectation that "successful" people work standard office hours then let off steam on Friday and Saturday evenings. 11 or more years of schooling only serve to reinforce this belief that we should be out enjoying the weekend when, actually, if staying in is more relaxing for you then it's a mcuh better way to recharge the batteries!

Are you in a position where you could invite family/friends round for pizza and a dvd? Game of scrabble/trivial pursuit (I've had some brilliant laughs, especially if you add extra points for rude answers)? Meet a friend at the cinema?
