Help! Forgot to get repeat prescrition for ADs before the bank holiday!

Been on Prozac for 8 weeks now & feeeling much better. Last night realised I was down to my last 1 - thought there was another pack in the box .
Didn't take it as I thought it would be better tonight if I can't get any more till Tuesday. I assume I can't buy them over the counter?
Will I start to feel funny having been used to them for 8 weeks if I then can't take any?

You need to get some.

Call NHS 24, they will get you sn out of hours appt at the on-call place.

You will feel dizzy, sick and very 'odd' id you stop abruptly.

Don't mean to be alarmist, but the effects are horrid if you run out.

Take the empty box and if you have it the white bit that comes attached to the repeat prescription that has your prescription details on it to the pharmacist that gave you the last lot. They may be able to give you some to tide you over. They have the power to do so if they are confident that this is the meds that you are routinely taken. If not ring out of hours for a prescription. It is not a good idea to go without them for so long.

You can call NHS24 (or English equivalent NHS direct?) and they will fax a prescription to your nearest open pharmacy. I did this for a medication on New Years day, was no problem.

Thank you all. I rang the pharmacy where I get all my prescriptions and they have given me an emergancy dose for 5 days and sorting my repeat one out. Phew!!! It's a relief
