Can amitriptyline increase your appetite?

Took my first one last night. Am quite enjoying the space cadet feeling, but I'm hungrier than normal. Coincidence?

Yes amitriptyline can increase your appetite with some people but I don't think this can be the case if you have only taken one dose. Most of the tryclics cause weight gain but that to me is a small price to pay in comparison to severe depression.

Agree wholeheartedly. Mind you, am not drinking alcohol at all whilst I'm on them, so I that should help keep weight down. Thanks for replying. :)
