Nightmares, lots of them.

It's linked with my anxiety disorder and my stress levels, but I've had two nightmares tonight, two nightmares yesterday, and more than six nightmares in the space of a week. I'm also 18 weeks pregnant at the moment.

Now this isn't the first time I've had this many nightmares, but I think it's a bad sign. I'm not sure what to do though!

I'm scared to fall asleep because I don't want to have another nightmare sometimes. I'm glad my partner is there beside me but tonight it doesn't seem to be helping much with the 'scared' feeling.

I really don't know what to do in this situation, think of all the things that are worrying me or stressing me out? Any advice would be wonderful.
Are there others here who also suffer from things like this?

I too suffer from nightmares. I have always though to some extent. I used to feel very afraid before falling asleep.

The nightmares are so vivid that I have trouble not thinking about them all morning as the feelings I experienced in them are very real!

I am sorry its become such a problem for you too.

I would recommend some meditation/relaxation techniques at bedtime. This is what my doctor recommended and I found it did relax me somewhat though I hasten to add it has not stopped the nightmares, just made them more bareable IYSWIM.

Have you got someone to talk to about your anxiety and stress issues? Talking things through would help I am sure.
