I have been taking Venlafaxine for around four months.
I have a long history of depression and have taken this medication in the past with good effect.
I am currently taking my tablet at night but am having major problems with sleeping.
When exactly in the day do you take this please?

First thing in the morning. What dose are you on? I was taking 225mg for about 18 months (have managed to wean myself off them now thankfully). I'm positive they are the reason I'm now having huge problems getting off sleeping tablets.

I'm not surprised you're having trouble sleeping if you're taking them at night xxx

Thanks for your reply UpsyDaisyDo :)
I am currently on 150mg but have been up to 225mg in the past .
I will leave todays dose and then try them in the morning.
Sorry to hear you are still having problems sleeping, it's the pits, I finally dropped off at about 5am this morning, dc's up at 7 eek !
What sleeping tabs are you taking if you don't mind me asking?

I'm surprised you've not been advised to take them as early as possible to be honest as they have such a stimulating effect. I don't envy you at all with that little sleep. Its totally counter productive to the ad's I'd imagine.

I take zolpidem and clonazapam (which was originally prescribed for anxiety but helps me sleep as well).
