abilify?

Can't get any answers about side-effects of abilify - anyone any experience, good or bad? Only on 5mg not sure enough.

It can be quite activating initially, makes you feel restless. Some people are given some benzodiazepines to counter this initial activation.
Lots of other potential side effects, best to go throu the drug leaflet that comes with it.
Are you using it as an add on to your antidepressant, or for something else?

Hi, yes you should get a leaflet with your prescription and if not you could go to your pharmacy and ask for information from the pharmacist, as drugs and side effects is there area. Hope it helps.

I take 10mg of abilify.

At first it made me restless and gave me blurred vision but the restlessness went after about 3weeks and the vision problems stopped after about 6 weeks

I was on 10mg then upped to 30mg, I came off it as it was causing me insomnia and also I had a huge relapse as I did actually stop taking it with noone knowing, I now take Quetiapine.
I found no side effects with it at all and found it was weight neutral which was good!

Thanks for response, I also have probs with insomnia anyway so not too encouraged to hear it can cause this! Quetiapine and other anti-psychotics have never suited me in the past, seriously bad side-effects, that's why I'm worried about this one. I do have some clonazepam, hoping this will help with restlessness.

i tried abilify - i found i was incredibly restless with it - same thing happened with respiridone. I did find queiapine suited me but i gained a lot of weigh
