Panic/anxiety attack this am, connected to AD's??

I posted a couple of weeks ago about CBT and got some very sensible helpful replies.

I eventually took the first AD 5 days ago without any side effects, but this morning I think that I may have had a panic/anxiety attack, of all places in the shower. It lasted about 10 minutes and was awful, I completley collapsed couldn't breath and felt as dramatic as it's sounds, as though I was loosing it.

For the rest of today I've felt really washed out.

I'm not sure if this was a side effect of the AD's or something else? Is this something common with AD's?

Are you on an SSRI? e.g., citalopram, sertraline, prozac - if so increased panic and anxiety can be a side effect in the initial few weeks. I would give your GP a call just to be on the safe side tho.

it's about 8 years since i was on cital' but it does ring familiar that anxiety can temporarily be increased at the beginning. i am sure i was anxious/panicy when i first started to take it but it passes, the pills need a chance to get into your system
