Hi
Are there any good books for 7-10yr olds on coping with bipolar parents/explaining the condition?
My mate is just stating to discuss their dad's condition (recently diagnosed)
Thanks

(any other good support sites etc also appreciated)

this is a good forum and could probably recommend a good book, in my house we have a teddy and he has some sad clothes and some happy clothes and I use that to help my ds age5 to understand.

Thank you, that is exactly the kind of thing I was after. Their kids are a bit older, which is a double edged sword, they can understand more but have more questions needing answers too.

I will let you know if they find any of the publications useful - I wonder if "Living with a black dog" book might be good for them.
