I have a recent diagnosis. Went high. Indulged in all the sex, drugs and rock n roll.

Although it was a relief in some ways to be diagnosed the damage caused was terrible, particularly 2 my marriage and family relationships. My DH has been great though absolutely devastated by my involvement with other men. Have any of you had experience of this. How do you heal yrself and those around you? We tried relate but going thru all the usual infidelity stuff doesn't apply in a lot of ways. My committment to my DH is to take meds and stay well. But so want to make everything else better. We have a big family thou kids all seem fine.

Hi I have been where you are but we got past it, I am not on meds yet but when I do go them I plan to give my partner control of them so he knows I am taking them, I wont have access to dangerous meds while depressed, and he feels a bit of control over my ilness even if he has none over my actions.

I also let him come to my appointments with me so he knows everything, and can understand. It will take time but you will get there.
