I know that sounds a bit pathetic, but I'm reading through the 4 page letter the psychiatrist wrote about my childhood/history for errors before it goes to my GP.

I need to do this for veracity, but I am finding it very hard (understatement Blush ). I know I'm fortunate to be allowed to.

They also seem to be suggesting lofepramine - just wondering if anyone's taken it?

Sounds like you're in good hands if the psych wants to be sure there's no errors.

I've taken lofepramine for a number of years (usually in winter) - it's often recommended if SSRIs don't suit, or if insomnia at 4am is a problem.
Common side effects are dry mouth and constipation, which hopefully would be kept in check with keeping water on you and eating lots of fruit+veg and whole grains. And you can't drink while taking them, or rather alcohol has about 4 times its usual effect, so one glass is OK if not driving.

In my case lofepramine is the difference between my holding down a decent job versus being a gibbering wreck all winter. Hope it and your docs help you too. Smile
