I was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder about 15 months ago, relating to the trauma of my son's birth. I had about a year of treatment. My beautiful boy turned 6 today and for the first time i have been able to really celebrate his birthday, and have had no flashbacks or episodes at all. I just wanted to share this as a major milestone in my mental health journey. I'm so grateful to my doctor and therapist and so glad I kept asking for help. Life is looking pretty good today, and full of possibilities.

thanks. I know a lot of people are really struggling when they post on here (i certainly have), but i guess i wanted to say that with the right help things can get better. It isn't like every day is perfect, but i feel normal now, and when i start to slip i can generally sort it out in a reasonable time. Not at all the case two years ago. And today in particular is a reason to celebrate for as well as my son!
