i have been on these for 2 weeks and am having some unpleasant side effects which include:
headaches
tremors
dizziness
feeling of detachment from everything
really bad sweats

do these eventually go away or would it be worth me switching to something else?

can anyone advise because i feel awful at the moment

Romi, 2 wks is probably too short a time, I should think, but do mention this to you doctor. I would find those side effects intolerable.

Most side effects go away after a while, but some don't, including sexual side effects (little or no sex drive, even inability to have an orgasm for some). But TBH only your doctor (assuming you have a reasonably OK one) can tell you which of your side effects are likely to go away and which are not. But like I said on the other thread, whatever you do, don't just stop taking them without tapering off them carefully--even after just 2 weeks.

Probably you are one one of these side-effect prone people who ought to have been put on a miniscule dose to start with. . .but if this is your first time on an SSRI you're doctor wouldn't have known that.

she started me off with 50mg then put me up to 100mg which is too much so last night i dropped back down to 50mg and i,ll have to see how i go on.

just a thought have u any idea what is the lowest dose you can have?

I was started on 25 mg and then told to up to 50 after a week. As it turns out, the 25 mg works fine, but I have to be really, really careful not to miss a dose being on such a low amount.
