I have been on Seroxat for about 4 years and am thinking of coming off it as I have other health issues that I think might be related. I have read so many negative things about the drug and was wondering if there is anything positive about it.

my experience of it was fairly positive, and I didn't find it hard to come off, with gradual reduction of the dose. I wouldn't take it again though, as there are many similar drugs without the issues re:half-life.

I had a fairly positive experience of it too. It did seem (for me) to be a little more effective than some other a-ds and I didn't have withdrawal problems (although of course it is important to withdraw gradually and in a supervised way).

I was on seroxat for over 10 years.

It helped me come through 2 breakdowns and then kept my anxiety at bay.

You can withdrawal using the liquid form and very gradually,it took me about 4 months to come off of 20mg and I had hardly any withdrawals.

Speak to your gp about it.

Best wishes.
