how helpful are samaritans/24hr line for crisis team??

things are getting worse and i kep being told if they get worse to ring these but i feel tht surely they will just listen they wont be any help just listen and im sure that would make me feel even worse (if thats possible). what do they do? how do you know when its time to ring them?

Having someone who will listen without judging may help you. They don't offer advice, solutions or opinions. There's no "right" time to call.

We're listening and you'll get loads of help here if you need to offload. Lots of people have been in similar positions. Much love.

Anytime you think you might want to call them is the right time, you don't have to say much really, they talk to you which really does help.

No it can't do any harm. You are in control, you can end the call any time you like. You can give a false name if you want
