Sertraline side effects

I'm on day 5 of sertraline and feel like shit! Not sick or particularly headachy as I was warned but I've got a really sore throat, tongue and a horrible phlegmy post nasal drip and mouth ulcers. I do feel generally quite grim, Shivvery, sweaty and restless.

Has anyone had anything similar? I'm not sure if I ougt to be trying a different drug or if this is 'normal'

How long can I expect to feel crap for ?

Hi- I gave up with sertraline for very similar side effects. The GP did say though it should settle down though I just didn't give it enough time. Those symptoms, he said, are common when starting out with it and should get better in a couple of weeks. I have also taken fluoxetine (prozac) and found that better, however it was not suitable for breastfeeding, so couldn't use it for that reason. Hope this helps (a little)and it gets better soon.
