Help Please! Run out of Citalopram!

I know its my fault, please dont say it or I will cry..again.
Ive run out. I NEED it tonight and tomorrow night. Soonest I can get to Dr is Monday if they can fit me in, but by then I will b fucked.
Anyone have any ideas how I can get hold of some? Please.

Ring your out of hours doctors?

Try nhs direct for advice.

I am sure someone will be able to help you.

Do you still have the packet? If you go to the pharmacy where you usual get it from they should be able to get you some. Or call your GP out of hours And they will advise you. Sure you can get it sorted.

There must be an out of hours GP that can write you a prescription? There are chemists open till 10, even 12mn now, if not tomorrow morning.

You will be fine. I have missed doses by accident and been ok - just try and solve it tonight, if not go out tomorrow morning and try and pretend to yourself you've forgotten to take it, and can do it in the morning.

If you don't know where there is an open pharmacy call NHS direct as they have the out of hours list.

No Im in Gloucester. Thanks for the advice ladies, will go to the pharmacy first thing and beg with an empty packet! Will they just give me two tablets till I can get to the drs then? I feel embarrased calling OOH as its my fault andI dont want to waste their time.

Just ring them. This is your health. I have run out before now and had to ask for a prescription to be done that day. I know how bad I get if I miss a tablet so don't fret and give them a call.

They should give you 7 days worth but have the right to charge a private prescription fee.

monkey, there is nothing to be embarrased about. I had to go see my doctor 2 weeks earlier than I was scheduled to as I had managed to throw away half a packet - thought I was binning an empty box, only to bin 14 tablets!

Don't be embarrassed. I left mine in a hotel and had to do exactly the same. Ring OOH, the worst they can say is no.

There are certain guidelines, as long as it is a genuine emergency supply and there is no way you can get to your Dr to get a prescription and if the drug is a regular thing you take then they can give you a supply to last you till you get to your Dr. They will charge you for the drug and will expext a prescription to be sent to them as soon as you can.
