Sertraline - shall I take it or not?

I was prescribed Sertraline a few weeks ago. I think it could save my marriage. I have a 2 month old DC and ever since giving birth I have been very anxious and very depressed, crying almost daily.

But I have not taken the pills yet. I'm scared of the possible side effects. I'm a SAHM so if I were to get ill - well there's no question, I CAN'T get ill.

But I've read threads like this one about common side effects and if I experience side effects like those I won't be able to look after my baby (I don't have any help).

I don't know what to do for the best :(

Also weight gain - would this be likely?

Does anyone have any advice?

btw though, you need other help too.
ads just get you to a place where you can start getting things sorted.

Thanks nicky. I feel quite ill mentally :( It's making it difficult to maintain my relationship with my husband and baby. I also can't think straight.

When you first started taking Sertraline, did you feel sickly or dizzy or have insomnia?

Thats my thread you linked to. Please don't let it worry you hugely. I reacted badly to many more ADs and it is possible t it was because i was taking each one for a short timer and not giving it time to get out of my system before trying another.
It's very rare to react the way i did apparently.

yes, absolutely you should. It changed my whole life. I know that sounds a bit evangelistic, but its not. read my thread here and good luck!
