being taken off diazepam

oh no how will i cope, i am on 30mg a day and they reducing it to 20. how am i going to cope i was put on it for my back spasms but now reducing it. been on it for about 3 months. am in hospital as i depression and anxiety hit me hard so i am in a safe place. i cant cope with it. has anyone had experience is coming off it. i am going to 10 twice day so missing lunch time one which is one of my worse times of day i get worse from lunch til bed time, then have horrific nightmares

Oh angel sorry you are having such a hard time but glad you are in a safe place. It sounds like you have become very addicted to diazepam and that's not good so there's not much choice other than to slowly wean off it.

I understand that the idea panics you but you have doctors and nurses to help you and I'm sure they can help you keep comfortable in other ways.

Hang in there - it will get better onces you are off them. If you have used them solidly for 3 months they don't actually work very well anymore...

Hi,Sorry you strugging so much right now. However, I once took diazepam for so long (at a lower dose) that it really didn't do much for my mental health by then. Hospital sounds a good place to reduce it. If it makes your back worse can they do anything to help that?

Are you able to do activities, nice distracting things after lunch to help you during that time?
