So far so good ...

Is a bit tricky finding a good chunk of time in the morning to use it- kids reliably up at 6am but I am finding it hard to set the alarm for 5.30 Shock and keep my eyes actually open before they start their demands!

Any tips from fellow lightbox users ?

We use our box any time before noon - it is on a table in the corner of the living room.

I find it handy for using the time to do close work like mending clothes or sewing on buttons.

Could you use it while the children are having breakfast or watching children's programmes in the morning? Sorry, but 5.30 sounds like a killer.

lulu2 · 14/09/2010 09:42

could i ask how much it cost mumofshortie?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 14/09/2010 09:44

oh good reminder to start using mine. Thank you. I used one last winter and I think it did help.
We all sit down to breakfast at the same time and the rule is that once it is on I'm not allowed down from the breakfast table until it is off again Grin

Many thanks for the tips sugarlake 5.30am ?? Pure madness.

YouBadBadKitten hello again ! I am glad you found it useful last winter and love your house rule about not moving from the table til you've done your thang, wonder if I could enforce that one round here Hmm

lol, of course you can!!
How are you feeling today?

mumofshortie73 · 15/09/2010 12:43

Getting used to feeling a bit below par, I need to start properly with the light, your idea of a proper sit-down family breakfast is a good'un, kitten so will really try that tomorrow am. How are you feeling today ?

thanks for link.

mumofshortie73 · 16/09/2010 16:58

Tried the proper family sit-down breakfast today, nice to do something different, my DD definitely liked it ! However, still not enough concentrated time in front of the light. Got out and had a good walk instead as it was lovely and sunny- 2 miles to neighbouring village, toddler group then 2 miles back home, my mood has markedly improved even though my legs now ache a bit !

Back to finding decent block of time to use the Lumi... any other ideas ?

Good try - clearly you need porridge folled by a fry up to give you the extra time Grin

sorry, didnt see your question - ended up with a tummy bug of all things - I never get tummy bugs. much better tonight but I have kindly shared it with dh (who either has it less bad or is much braver than I)

mumofshortie73 · 17/09/2010 09:31

Kitten- boo to feeling rubbish with tummy bug but hurrah to feeling better ! My stomach has not been right this week but I think it is revolting against all the exercise I have been doing Grin

Your DH will have it less severely than you- men + sickness = brave Hmm

I will unearth the egg poacher ...

not surprised your tummy is rebelling - exercise is revolting! Grin hope it improves vastly.
